- At 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Department of Environmental Protection Marine Headquarters on 333 Ferry Road in Old Lyme, there will be a hearing on Draft Amendment 14 to the scup fishery management plan.
- This amendment addresses the development of a rebuilding schedule for scup. Copies can be obtained via the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) Web site at http://www.asmfc.org/ under "Breaking News".
- Anglers who are interested in scup fishing should attend this hearing to make their comments known or send in written comments to Toni Kerns at tkerns@asmfc.org by 5 p.m. on April 10 2007. (Bob Sampson, Norwich Bulletin)
