Oyster River & LIS Seawall will be repaired

A crumbling seawall separating the Oyster River from Long Island Sound has been determined to be state property and will be repaired by the state Department of Transportation. Ownership of the wall, which was built a year after the devastating 1938 hurricane ripped up New Haven Avenue along the river's mouth, had been in dispute for more than three years before it was settled.
