The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) announced that its autumn trout stocking will begin September 13th. From mid-September through mid-October, DEP expects to release nearly 49,000 trout into selected waters throughout the state. Among the areas scheduled for stocking this fall are twenty-six lakes and ponds, twenty-two rivers and streams including eleven of the Trout Management Areas (TMA), four “Urban Fishing Areas”, and nine Trout Parks.
