Dock Road boat launch closed

WATERFORD -- The state Department of Environmental Protection has closed the bridge that provides access to the Dock Road state boat launch. The bridge and the boat ramp will remain closed until structural repairs are made to the bridge. Boaters seeking access to Long Island Sound should use the following state launches: Niantic River, Waterford; Thames River, New London; Kenneth E. Streeter, Groton and Bayberry Lane, Groton.
