Five fires over the last two weeks are forcing the town to close the Baltic Reservoir Park indefinitely. First Selectman Dennison Allen said the ground at the park has been dry and an abundance of trees that have been cut down and not removed from the property have increased the chances for fires to start. He said the park, a popular fishing spot in town, will be closed until the area receives a good amount of wet weather.
“When we get the rain this week we might be able to open it up again,” Allen said."
